i have it enabled it just doesnt turn on

Make sure that 'Display current activity as a status message' is enabled in your Activity Status category in the Discord settings. Cider will not appear as a game, so do not manually add it.
If you are using Discord from the Snap Store, you are advised to install from a different source (Discords Website or using another package manager). The Snap Store version of Discord is known to have issues with DiscordRPC.
Ensure that you are running Discord on a level that is below Cider. If Discord is being elevated, Cider will be unable to connect. Furthermore, ensure that Discord is started first. Cider has to connect to Discord and this is only done on Cider's launch. So make sure Discord is started before Cider.
it doesnt work on mac at all then?
idk what to do
Just means running as admin as opposed to normal user, changes a bunch of internet stuff that breaks a bunch of stuff
But on MacOS discord will most likely never run as admin so don’t worry about that
Idk how2mac so, I suppose make sure everything is running properly and that discord was launched and fully loaded before cider was
The NodeJS bindings for discord rpc are famously shit
okay okay
so is there a fix or no? i have done that before
not to my knowledge
if you have any other applications that might be connected it'd be worth checking in your activity settings to see if another application is connecting first (Discord RPC is first-come-first-serve).
MacOS Discord and stuff like this is weirdly inconsistent
think its probs just a bug with electron backend since the move over to the new rpc customisation shit
people been sayin linux havin issues as well
it appears that is the case
