#Choosing a random song ignores all other songs above it

If I choose any random song to play, it always ignores all songs above that one. I have repeat on but even then the songs don't appear in queue

#

I have 28 songs in this playlist, chose this one to start it off
Turning shuffle on and off just shuffles between the 4 songs that are below this.
Turning on repeat on and off is still not adding the remaining songs to the queue.
Once all songs end, the queue again starts with just these 5 songs, no more

I'm having the same issue. not fixed for me

digital crater
#

I dont think I was clear, fixed in the code

#

not released yet

copper crescent
#

okay thank you, when can we expect an update?

digital crater
#

When 2.0.3 is released, so idk

cloud basalt
#

Sweet, thanks!

cloud basalt
#

Any update about this? Apparently 2.0.3 is out but this is still not fixed

digital crater
#

A beta release of 2.0.3 is available for donators

#

Not on the Microsoft store

cloud basalt
#

Oh nvm

cloud basalt
#

Sorry I'm bringing this up again, but the issue is even worse now. If I click shuffle and it starts playing a song, it ignores all the songs before it.

#

I'm not even choosing a song, just clicking on the shuffle button

#

Clicked shuffle, it started playing this song and only queued 8 songs when my entire playlist is 31 songs.

#

open the apple music phone app

#

and you get identical behaviour

#

pressing shuffle however

#

will add all songs in a playlist to the queue

#

shuffled

#

this is behaviour added by musickit

#

since it's identical to how the apple music native app handles it

#

consistency 👍

#

not an issue, so no fix will be made

runic apex
#

absolutely not how it works on iphone

cloud basalt
#

And this is still the case

#

I press shuffle and it does not add all songs to the playlist

#

All it added was the songs below that one

cloud basalt
#

I wasn't aware that this is a musickit implementation

#

But atleast look into the shuffle part

cloud basalt
#

You can have a look at this video @misty geode @digital crater

misty geode
#

i don't see the problem lol

#

wait wtf

#

its

#

taking them away

#

wtf musickit

#

ok can reproduct

#

only happens in the following conditions

#

you shuffle it

#

twice

#

if it is coming from an empty queue or queue of another playlist, nothing happens

#

but if it's the same playlist

#

it does

#

thats

#

fucked

digital crater
#

im so confused

misty geode
#

Same

celest root
#

for me, it happens to any shuffle button, no matter the condition. I'll reinstall and see if that changes anything.

#

after reinstalling with the instruction listed in the troubleshooting documentation, the issue still persists ;(

#

it's really not a big deal as I can just hit play then enable shuffle, than hit skip to shuffle

misty geode
#

hmmm, still an issue

misty geode
#

cloud basalt
#

Sorry about this guys

#

I know I've been talking about this for months now

#

but it's not fixed, idk what happened again

misty geode
#

You have nothing to be sorry about I just can’t figure out why tf it’s happening

#

It’s a reproduced error

#

The issue is that all that handling stuff is handled by MusicKit so the only way to fix it is to manually queue up every song programmatically
