Go in app, settings, advanced and click open cider folder
Open file explorer and go to C:/program files and look for something called packages (check program files x86 if it’s not here) once opened open the Cider one then go to app data then roaming then Cider again and it’s there
I’m not at my pc rn so explained it the best I could
it was in neither of the program files folders, i found the packages folder in the hidden ProgramData folder:
these were the only folders in the cider package folder
still no Cider in %appdata% though
its in this one C:\ProgramData\Packages
find the one called Cider
then you need to find a folder called appdata
then roaming or local folder, there will be a folder called cider
i dont have Cider installed through MS store rn but it is there, ive done it before
its the very first folder on here right?
can't see any other folder in C:\ProgramData\Packages that says Cider
i opened that first folder and then %appdata% but its still not there :/
and idk why u are opening this folder
yea there are no other files when i keep going down a directory
hmm somethings wrong then
there should be more files in there
u could try reinstalling cider
ok so i've done that before multiple times
but ive been reinstalling from the ms store
what i did now is install via the .exe on the github and everything's there
there's a /Program Files/Cider and %appdata%/Roaming/Cider now
maybe there's comething up with the ms store version?
thanks for the help tho!
did you try to find Cider in %localappdata%\Packages\?
no, but i had a look just now and there's no Cider folder in here, this is the filepath: C:\Users\johnr\AppData\Local\Packages
all of Cider's Program Files and %appdata folders are here but only after using the .exe install method, not when I installed from the ms store
yeah thats intended
microsoft doesnt allow you to access the program directorys easily if u install from their store
compared to using the exe where it will show up normally in appdata/roaming/Cider
if you installed from github exe then go here C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Cider
there is ive done it before
its how i said to do it but there must of been something wrong with your Cider installation
ohh ok
