#EnhancePlus toasts 'Something went wrong' (plugin or spicetify issue?)

I already made an issue about this in the github repo (https://github.com/Aztup/EnhancePlus/issues/2), but considering there were no other issues, and it presumably works for the creator, I was wondering if maybe this could be a spicetify issue, or at the very least an issue of my installation.
Problem
When I click the 'add' button, I get a toast 'something went wrong' (and there's an error in the console), and the buttons disappear without the song being added. When I click the 'remove' button, nothing happens, but there's a different error in the console.
Here are the relevant console logs for clicking 'add':

A while ago i tried to post the system details, but Dyno muted me for 'posting repeated content', so here they are again:
Running Linux
Spicetify v2.16.1 (latest release as of making this)
Spotify version 1.1.84.716.gc5f8b819
I'm loathe to post the spicetify config output because it might mute me again, but it's all defaults except for enhancePlus.js in extensions
this is an extension problem
thanks, that's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure that that wasn't a known issue with Spicetify
how do i fix it?
