you can "turn off notify subscribers".
and it will be fine, all new videos will be just assumed as for new audience
that's what im doing right now on second channel, it was 10k subs ~500k monthly views, but i decided that i don't want to continue on that topic, but still, since there is monetesation, i just made all videos invisible , and started uploading new stuff with that thing turned off
works fine
i see
You unlisted all videos ?
And didnt lose hours
Or like started posting english videos and gradually hide the other lang ones
i posted all in english before, but it technically dosen't matter. i switched niche , basically 180 in content i made, and rebranded channel fully. different name/handle etc.
and no, you don't lose hours when unlisting
i unlisted all of them 3 days before posting new content (actually i would do it maybe ~1 week before), so channel fall out of algo a bit. and then i instantly posted 4 videos with updated niche. (so people got something to binge watch), and then it just works.
for now, i just turn "notify off" for every upload, and will continue to do so for few month, thats the plan technically
is your new videos views lower than before? @unkempt sorrel
do you mean -> lower than they was on channel
that i changed niche completely
Yeah like when you changed niche, did you notice the views be lower than your old niche because YouTube is figuring out who to server video to
50/50
it's different views from different audience
i got few "outliers" with ~200-500k views on that channel
but thats basically latest videos ->
before switch
so ~3k avg i would say . which is not what im aiming for ofc
here is after switch ->
so ... ~no~ i guess
views are fine :D
yeah, i just decided old niche died
for my channel at least
and did 180* switch
also for overall workflow and goals this year, it was unsustainable
This option is pc only?
unlisting videos is on all devices, if thats what you mean
Why do you want to do that ?
You'll need to get at least the same amount of views in the more competing market of English language, to earn more with a higher RPM.
I guess transition wont be easy
