Hello! I made another type of productivity video. This video is mostly about the loss of motivation of something you are passionate about.

However.... I am not really happy with this because I feel like it got rushed + I could of put more depth into this video... I think the script ans structure was a bit random.

Any tips/criticisms is REALLY appreciated! Thanks! (Also, I am going to try another type of video after this one)

Yeah, it is a hard feeling. You always feel like you just need motivation to do something or you feel like you are just burntout on the thing you were passionate about. It sucks, it is a lot of work. But hopefully this video helps!

Any criticisms/feedbacks/roasts/etc. is appreciated! I feel like this video felt a bit rushed.

I like your animation style. Do you make the animations yourself?

Around 51 second mark, I feel like there's a lot of text and it would be better if there was more of your animated character instead.

The pacing felt kinda slow and I kinda clicked off around the 1:30 mark. The advice kinda felt generic and it didn't challenge a lot of my beliefs, which I think these types of videos should be doing.

You mentioned that you reccomend talking to a teacher or professor in my area to clarify what you want in the next few years, but realistically, I know after the video I won't go to a teacher or professor to discuss the next ten years of my life lol.

I think I'd rather journal something down or something.

What works in these videos?
The animations are pretty good and authentic. I never thought I would see a floating sink with big cartoon eyes.

What doesn't work?
The advice felt generic and not practical to me you know.

What more?
Challenge your audience's beliefs. It seems you have your target audience clarified (students in school who have access to resources such as professors and teachers).

Great animation, but the content felt generic

I know it feels slow, but.... my voice.

#

My previous video, a lot of people tried to tell me that they couldn't understand my voice just by hearing it. So I tried being a lot slower.

#

And yes, I did make the animations myself (I did not make the stuff in the room though, mostly from Blenderkit).

I honestly really like the style of this video and it kinda reminds me of a youtuber called FUNKe. As you improve maybe you could bring the quality he has to the self improvement niche.

As for what to improve the comment above had a lot of great points already but i think what works well for almost all videos is giving the viewer a roadmap of the contents of the video.

So for example the first thing you did was make the viewer realise what kind of limiting beliefs were stopping them and then you talked about effective ways of learning

As a viewer i would appreciate knowing these steps in advance so i don't feel lost and know how much the video has progressed.

So maybe near the beginning just by saying something like "these are the steps we are gonna take" (you could find ways to do it more creatively) or by adding chapters in the video helps with retention. At least it would personally make me watch for longer

Overall, really like the style you're going for. Keep going :)

i can only praise the animation and production quality here really, the pace does feel somewhat slow and, as lan said, unprovocative

#

plus i would really recommend hiring a proper voice actor

#

it will yield MUCH better results

#

a tip from mehul about a roadmap of sorts is also very good, people are quite literally unable to keep the entire plan of what they've watched in the past 2 or so minutes if the content is active enough

especially considering how video tends to stray away with humor (which is actually very good)

@cedar wren I could definitely be your voice actor if you want lol

yea thats

Anyways

#

an example of his humor would be that moment where he tells the viewer to shove those bad thoughts in the trash

#

which is already straying away but also staying close to the point of the video

#

so its good

#

but a short conclusion to each chapter would be very beneficial

Yes a short little takeaway from each point would suffice so much here

slow obsidian
#

one is when its a single dude sharing his life experience in a very organic way

#

and second is those structurized videos that are meticulously planned

#

i'd consider this video here to be an example of a first category

#

which implies humor is good

#

tis always good to include some of it since it fits

#

yk after watching the intro i also got a really cool thing to use when making the next one

#

(if it's going to be similar that is)

#

in this video it would be soooo good to add the "this video took over a month (or whatever the timeframe) to make, and I, apparently, didn't even burn out! How, you may ask? Well, let me tell you..." and then you start talking about the main points of the video

#

it's probably specific to the burning out topic but still

#

it just instantly adds a ton of value because if people see your advice working it would intrigue them atleast in the slightest

WOAH There was a whole conversation that I missed.

#

I was busy recording something for a new video.

#

But I want this channel to have my voice in it. Not some another person sorry.
