i would say... it will depend on your target audience

and go from bright+big into less bright and background

so in KSI example -> He making video for his fans mostly, and he is BIG star, so he as main part of thumbnail is great idea, to not attract just Messi fans

so it's like "hey boys, let's discuss and my hot take"

you're looking "too young" for politics discussion, so if it's more on serious side, i would make something more centric on Sunak (? if im not mistaken) and other dude

and then establish accountability (credibility?, sorry messing this words probably ) , that you're and your guest is nice people to listen on this topic and join discussion in comments

Thats essentially my narrative as well. Not too serious, just some college kids sharing their opinion on current events in UK

I mean, if your target audience is ~your age 18-25 , then its definitely fine, and good for branding later

But you can cut alot of other people who could be interested, but won't click
