Yeah it's really hard to understand and follow with the music level
I think it's a good idea to set obstacle but saying you don't want to do do it then cuting to a year later and doing it is a bit confusing
From what I understand you do it in 1 week and not 500 days
on top of the music level for the audio, I feel like the audio quality should always be the same, there's a clear difference between the "vlog" shots, tripod shots and the voice overs
at 3:18 the "this is me at the gym" is a bit random 😅
I maybe would've put a camera on the 3d printer for updates while you do a sub storyline

I really really enjoy your editing style, the cuts are strong and often enough to keep a viewer engaged and the additions of the elements you use are great too (the text message, use of YT page mixed with the selfie style vid, etc.) - it makes for a very dynamic and catching edit for sure!
The music additions are strong too, really enjoyed how they carried through the video
One place I think could use some speeding up is in your voice over, I think more succinct, quick cuts that explain what's going on could be beneficial for retention, I recommend checking out someone like William Osman or BasicallyHomeless on YT; your edit reminded me a lot of theirs and I think you could get some good inspo from them!
