hi AJ! i had a couple of initial thoughts:

  • The subtitles are too subtle, quick and kind of distracting (you can't even see the first word "how") I would try to make them more legible & on-screen longer.
  • You already have the salary and hours in the thumbnail so why not make the first couple of seconds / intro hook more exciting? "Why do you work 60+ hours a week for a 100k Salary?"

To give some context... I posted a YT short with this data scientist that blew up (2.5 million views). Then flew out to Boston to interview her, and then released the full interview.

# worldly oracle Thank you <@218613824914325504> for the feedback! <@832104891828404257> thanks f...

Long form can translate well to short form but it’s rarely the other way around. In terms of editing style and attention span you would expect from audience. Having one style of short form doing well has a higher correlation to “you should do more of these kinds of short form” rather than “oh maybe I should do similar thing but for long form” for more depth I would recommend inviting guests to a podcast so you can guarantee better visual and audio quality

#

Otherwise long form could do well if you do what jon suggest and have many interviewees in one video to break up attention span

Thanks for this @red quail

Title could use some work

#

something like "Asking a Data Scientist What It's REALLY Like".

If you had multiple data scientists it could be like "Asking Data Scientists How To Be Successful"

current title is kind of more documentary style (Vice) but doesn't make me wanna click
