Hello!
I would expect that to be the normal behavior as with trial period there is no amount to be discounted.
I think this would be testable via the Test Clocks: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/testing/test-clocks
it means the same single redemption code could be used to start multiple trial subscriptions, would the second sub get charged the full amount?
I'll need to test this on my end to confirm.
That would be appreciated! Would be useful to know.
The flow is: You have a single redemption coupon for a subs and you're offering a trial. You're looking to confirm when and where the coupon would be applied. Before I test, just want to make sure that we are on the same page.
That's all correct.
Great, when creating the coupon, are you applying it to a specific product?
Yes, an annual subscription.
Also looking to confirm, if the coupon is used to start multiple trial subscriptions, whether the second sub is charged the full amount.
Is this coupon just for first time order only?
On this, can you say more. I'd like to make sure that I'm understanding this.
Say a user receives a code for a discount, applies that code, and then shares the code with someone else during the trial period, who also applies it. In the event that the single-use coupon code has been used to create two separate trial subscriptions, what happens to the charge on the second trial subscription after the coupon has been redeemed at the end of the first trial subscription?
The coupon is applied after the trial period end and the first full subscription will be deducted by the coupon amount provided.
And the second will be charged the full amount?
