๐ happy to help
this is the API call for creating a refund https://stripe.com/docs/api/refunds/create
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
There are no parameters for specifying refund routing and account number
if you specify a charge it will automatically figure out the source
I'm talking about once the email is sent, you get a URL to process the refund sent to the customer. It doesn't work anymore
sorry I'm not following
Hello,
We are contacting you on behalf of XXX[0], concerning a $XXX.XX payment you recently made with them using ach_credit_transfer. Your order could not be completed. A total amount of $XXX.XX is waiting to be refunded to you.
To process this refund please submit the required information. Once we have this information, we will initiate the transfer to you.
You can reply to this email if you have any questions.
-The Stripe team
They get this email with a link to submit their details for refund
The link no longer works. https://stripe.com/sources/refund is the base of the URL with amount, currency, source, and src_client_secret being params in the URL
I'm not familiar with this, I'm asking a colleague to take a look, please hold on
thanks, let me look, since I think I saw another report of this recently
seems like #dev-help message was similiar so digging in a little
please also reach out to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true too so we can escalate things properly
Exact same error - yes. Everything shows up fine but once you submit details it says that The source could not be found.
do you happen to have the Source ID src_xxx to help me investigate?
no worries if not but thought I'd ask to save time
or the Customer ID cus_xxx
awesome, thanks
still looking, I found the email we sent to that customer but the link in it is actually working for me, so there must be something else at play
The link works. It happens once you submit details
I'm not going to post the actual link but to confirm, when you visit it, it looks like
oh ok
Yes, it displayed all the paramenters and requested the routing number, account number, and name.
You click submit and the error shows up identical to what the other user shared.
ok thanks, knowing that it happens on submit is really useful
investigating some more
@jaunty fiber ok we have a good sense what the problem is and it's being actively worked on. I'll let you know when they's an update (should be soon today) but please write to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true too to stay notified
Thank you very much
@jaunty fiber ok we believe this is fixed now after a rollout we did
if you're seeing otherwise please let us know and include the Source ID src_xxx
Looks like it. Thank you again!
