hi! not sure I understand. Did you already call stripe.payouts.create and now want to stop them receiving the money?
Yes i want to do this through the stripe dashboard.
as it takes time to get the money to their bank account right?
that's not something it's possible to do yourself
if you reach out to our support team quickly enough they might be able to help but in general there's not an operationalised way to do that, if you issue the payout the wheels are in motion and it can't be guaranteed to be recalled or anything
Can you please look at this one.
yep, what about it?
that's about disabling payouts before they happen, which is not what you're asking about (hence my first clarifying question in the thread)
if you already called the API and created the payout there's no operationalised/programmatic way to stop it, if you reach out to our support team quickly enough they might be able to help, but it's generally something you as the operator of the platform have to own the liability for
as a general point you should make sure your platform is not initiating the payout until you're satisfied the account should get the money , and you've waited long enough for customer complaints or chargebacks, or whatever makes sense for your business and risk policies
That means we can't cancel a payout or pause a payout through the stripe dashboard?
Can you please suggest me an idea how should we handle this case.
yep that's what I said
contact our support team (https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true) for the specific case of stopping this one payout, and consider my advice in my last post above for how to avoid getting into that situation in general
