can you share the ID cus_xxx of a Customer where you expect them to get an email and they're not getting one?
is there a param I need to pass through in create_checkout_session to enable automatic sending of reciepts? Checked docs but could not find anything significant
nothing I'm aware of they you need to explicitly pass on the API ,no.

they are attached to a subscription and that has an invoice that has been marked as paid
I have the option to generate/send invoice/payment-receipt to the customer manually but I want a receipt to at least be sent automatically upon payment
I see an email sent to the customer on Jan 26th, related to creating a subscription on that day(https://dashboard.stripe.com/payments/pi_3KMCs9EbNSy47nqJ1bViDrr4)
you can see it in the Receipt history section, and I checked internally and we did send an email to that address. Was there a different payment where you expected to see a receipt?

well one thing is you only turned on the setting a few hours after that email
well I mean, you turned on the setting at 9:54 https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/security_history?action=6389d2c3 which was after that payment already happened

ok thats strange maybe I forgot to click the save button or something - will try another test payment now and see what happens
but you said you only send reciepts in live mode so how do I know if its working or not?

I can't tell you to test in livemode, it's not really allowed, but I don't have any perfect answer here unfortunately. The way you have things set up now seems totally fine and will work.
