If you want to collect tips on-receipt, follow this guide: https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/features/collecting-tips/on-receipt (note that this is a US only feature)
If you want to collect tips directly on the reader, follow this guide: https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/features/collecting-tips/on-reader (note that this is a beta feature, so you need to request access)

also, since you're using Connect you should make sure to talk to whomever you spoke to get your account access to that tipping beta, and make clear to them that you will be using Connect and would like to be able to use that API parameter when you make API calls on behalf of your connected account, so they can set it up correctly for you

easiest way to check would be to try to use the feature and if you get an error you know it doesn't work

no, there's no way for you to see this information directly yourself, it's only an internal setting that we can see
