Hey @neat cradle taking a look

#

The accountId sent with the stripe.accountLinks.create is not even this account id
what was the account the request was made for? are you testing this multiple times in a row? if you can share the request id that'd be helpful as well

I deleted the account just to be able to record a video of the onboarding flow. Got it to work with a incognito window.

#

But it's kinda weird that I send another accountId with the payload but the error after redirect states another one.

#

It might have been the same as the one I deleted, but anyways, it should use the one I send in the payload, right?

#

Oh my, that was a fuzzy explaination.

#
  1. I deleted accountId A
  2. I created a new one and got accountId B
  3. I request onboarding links with accountId B
  4. I redirect and see an error connected to accountId A (I think)
#

4 = Yes, I checked and it's the same as A

Yeah. When testing multiple accounts in a sequence, it'd be best to use incognito windows. Stripe uses state, cookies etc & sometimes it runs into this weird behavior.

On another device now and checking my email. Got this verification of email sent to me and when clicking the link in the email the page refers to the deleted account again. I’m guessing this has nothing to do with cookies or the like.

Don’t know if this is a bug for you to look into or if there’s just a delay when two or more accounts can live (but seems deleted) with the same email address.

Hmm... I'm guessing it was a delay but let me look a bit closer
