you can confirm a SetupIntent with an existing PaymentMetod without collecting a new one with Elements, that's probably the easiest way.
i.e. use https://stripe.com/docs/api/setup_intents/confirm#confirm_setup_intent-mandate_data on the backend and pass the existing PaymentMethod ID, or call https://stripe.com/docs/js/setup_intents/confirm_sepa_debit_setup#stripe_confirm_sepa_debit_setup-existing on the frontend

sounds like you had already confirmed the SetupIntent successfully before you called that function.
how/when did you create the SetupIntent?

I want the split payment functionality, is it available in Stripe.??
For example, If the user pays on stripe, that payment must be held till the vendor completes the work and after work is completed funds are sent to the vendor and the admin gets its commission.

@red comet , I just setup my webhook and I'm now ready to start charging my customers ( test mode ) , what we are intending to do is :
- charge the customers on 26 every month
- Depending on the successful payments, we'll dispatch/share some those founds with our parteners + affiliates later ( 3 or 5 the following month ).
How do you suggest we do this?

well the first step is to read about and understand Connect https://stripe.com/docs/connect since you need that to set up your partners for receiving funds
