Yeah, seems like regular 3DS auth was requested and it failed a handful of times

Hmmm, yeah strange. All we know if the payment was ultimately declined by the bank because of authentication: https://stripe.com/docs/error-codes/authentication-required

So im not totally familiar with all this - so does that fall under 3d secure also
ie a banks decline

There were multiple attempts to auth this, so perhaps they did ultimately auth it but the bank still opted to decline it
