Hello! I just want to acknowledge the question. I'm working on some other threads but will get to you as soon as I can. In the meantime, could you share your website where Apple Pay should be shown? and Where did you see "Something went wrong. Unable to show Apple Pay. Please choose a different payment method and try again" this message?
https://kayzhair.com/
The user got the error message when she tried to make payment for one of the services there
Do you have a screenshot of the error message that your user saw?
yes
thank you, give me awhile to test
okay
I am not seeing the Apple Pay option for your website on desktop view, and I do see the same error on a mobile device.
You mentioned that the website is built with WordPress and plugin, so are you able to edit your frontend's code? If so, you might want to check if your Apple Pay integration has met the web integration considerations here: https://docs.stripe.com/apple-pay?platform=web#web-integration-considerations
Another thing I would check is if the Payment Method Domain for Latepoint is setup correctly. I saw that the payments in your Stripe account are creating by Latepoint as Direct Charges.
When Stripe Connect is involved, we ask the Platform to register the payment method domain for their connected account: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-methods/pmd-registration?dashboard-or-api=dashboard#register-your-domain-while-using-connect
But when I look up the Payment Method Domain (pmd_1SAqjhFWhEEJvPkSkfHC8A0j) in your Stripe account for Latepoint appears to be added through your own Dashboard
yes i added the domain myself, even when i added it to stripe as a domain, it just said enabled, it didn't give me the apple-developer-merchant-id-domain-association file, is that normal?
okay do i then need to configure ios certificate
not necessary
i am actually new to all of this
all good, we're happy to help. The instructions you need to follow for Apple Pay in web integration is here; https://docs.stripe.com/apple-pay?platform=web#web-integration-considerations
You can use it as a checklist to ensure Apple Pay is setup properly
as regarding this, I've tried to make some changes on the frontend, can you please reopen it, i am not using a mac, I'd have tried opening it and see if the apple pay button will display
I am still not seeing Apple Pay in the web
oh
I actually have two options of stripe on my latepoint payment settings, should i try the other one which isnt stripe conect
I am not sure because that's not a surfaced owned by Stripe. You will need to contact WordPress support about this
