Hi there!
Can you share the ID (req_xxx) of the failing API request?

req_JmbINXvqwFkJhp
Thanks for sharing. Indeed, you can't create a Direct Charge (or even a Destination charge) with application fees in this case (Platform: FR and Connected Account: MX)
I'm affraid that there'll be no support for this in the near future too.
Also, do you have any suggestions or alternatives to work around this issue?
I think creating the Direct Charge without application fees and then debitting the Connected Account (with the amount of the application fees) could help here (if your account is supported)
https://docs.stripe.com/connect/account-debits?dashboard-or-api=api#charging-a-connected-account
Thank you for the clarification.
Could you please let me know if there are other countries besides Mexico where application fees are not supported for platforms based in France?
Also, is there any official documentation or a list where such restrictions are documented?
Regarding your suggested workaround (creating the Direct Charge without application fees and then debiting the Connected Account), it seems this would not be possible for our use case, as the documentation states:
Your platform and the connected account must both be in the same region (for example, both in Japan).
Yeah correct
This is a good point, I'm afraid no there isn't, this is available only internally AFAIK.
Anyone can help me in stripe support ?
I can provide the list of unsupported countries for French
What countries are you interested in ?
I can see countries that are in the EEA zone, Japan are supported
If you have an explciti country list I can provide you what is supported and what is not
ok for this list please :
('FR', 'CA', 'GB', 'MX', 'IT', 'GR', 'US', 'HK', 'CH', 'BE', 'ES', 'PT', 'AU')
I’ve provided a list of countries where our current connected accounts are located. However, as our business is growing globally, we expect to onboard connected accounts from additional countries in the future.
Could you please confirm if there are any other country restrictions we should be aware of beyond the ones already mentioned?
