i tried 2 different plans, you should be able to see the loading icon next to the coupon. the first time it doesnt even work but that might be my somewhat slow connection today, even so, this problem is occurring for a friend in a diff country

that was a first but as i say i think my connection just dropped a little bit on that time
its the general slowness of coupon adding itself im concerned with as its not only me getting it

Yeah still that google pay error. Can you quickly try in ie. Safari or Firefox? Just open browser console, stare at the network tab, paste URL then enter

safari, i tried showing console + network tabs, i noticed hcaptcha errors?
the coupon applying keeps failing on my retries in safari now
it feels like maybe something also to do with the extra checkout buttons (Apple Pay etc) as the errors all fire up once they start appearing to load in

Weird, I have some 401 hCaptcha at Safari but it's also pretty fast
No 429 errors as yours

The hcaptcha errors seem to fire off when the coupon doesn’t auto apply and have to click apply (safari) for me

Sorry not sure what happened to Safari and Chrome. Just quick question (no need to record loom), if you just open the PaymentLink without coupon, does it have the same error requests on console? (play.google.com on Chrome and hCaptcha on Safari)

safari, which just seems to give up even trying to apply the coupon, so here i'm not clicking manually to apply the coupon

i think some of it is my internet connection tbh but none of it explains why the stripe checkout will load fairly quick and the coupon goes on sometimes endlessly

Yeah so the errors are there, it's just not noticable in a "normal" Checkout, but is noticed when there is Coupon to be applied
Also the errors could be device/location specific, since I can't confirm either of them
The other friend who also reports seeing slowness as you, where are they based in?

i had another friend test in my area and he had no problem, he tried 5G mobile as well as starlink to laptop
the other noticing the problem is in bangkok
just tested myself on 4G mobile (safari) and took a whole 30 seconds for the code to auto-apply.
anything more than 5 seconds seems quite unreasonable :/

Your another friend in your area who don't see the issue, could you ask him to open Chrome console/Safari console?
We are close to the conclusion that those errors affects the coupon
