This was used to setup a card Payment Method, those don't create Mandate objects I don't believe.

Typically not for cards they're not. Do you have an example of what you saw during testing that you can share that I can compare against?

Hm, I'm seeing that a Mandate was created for this Setup Intent:
seti_1Q2fJzJs8yURePOrPsTtllMM
but I'm not sure why it isn't being surfaced on the Setup Intent object. I'm going to ask my teamamtes to take a closer look at that.

If you retrieve the Setup Intent I shared most recently, is mandate empty still? (I suspect it will be, but want to be certain)

Perfect, thank you! And do you happen to have a more recent Setup Intent where you saw a Mandate wasn't created? We're trying to look into logs but need a more recent example (within the last 30 days) for that.

Sorry, no, we don't keep idle threads open that long. It'd be best if you could do it now so that my teammate who has some context on this can grab it and keep working to make progress.
