Hi ๐
The documentation you have linked is what we have for this flow. Unfortunately we do not send emails in Test mode except for Invoice and receipt emails and only under specific circumstances that we document here: https://docs.stripe.com/test-mode#test-email
Do you have an internal screenshot you could share?
No unfortunately I do not
Or just some copy of what the verification email looks like
No problem.
One more question. It seems like the only options for verifying a micro deposit bank account are:
- Stripe hosted link, sent via email to the customer. This requires us to set up a webhook listener
- Self hosted page, where we collect verification codes and synchronously send to stripe.
Is there not a third option, where returning customers can open the Stripe modal and enter the micro deposit values there? That's how plaid works, and it's what our customers are used to
After you collect the bank account details and accept a mandate, send the mandate confirmation and microdeposit verification emails in test mode. To do this, provide an email in the payment_method_data.billing_details[email] field in the form of {any-prefix}+test_email@{any_domain} when you collect the payment method details.
plaid is supported, but legacy integration
Can you answer my question
Is there not a third option, where returning customers can open the Stripe modal and enter the micro deposit values there?
I'm not trying to use Plaid, just used it as an example
Sorry I don't know who that other person was. They aren't Stripe staff
