The request above is for a direct charge. Since payment_method_types is omitted in the request, we will present the payment methods that are enabled in the Dashboard instead
I'm looking at your platform's payment method settings: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/connect/payment_methods
The relevant settings in this case are "Your connected accounts"
If you click into these settings, you'll see that your platform is currently managing payment methods for your connected accounts. If you want to give connected accounts the ability to manage this themselves, you'll need to check the "Allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods from the Dashboard" box.
If you scroll in this page, you'll see that "Cards" is enabled. ApplePay is enabled too but this is just treated as "card" in payment method types
The connected account in the request above can manage payment methods in the Dashboard but changing these settings doesn't apply to payments made via Connect/the platform

If this account navigates to their own payment method settings in the Dashboard, they'll see that they can only change the settings for payments they initiate. If they select "reteach configurations", they'll see that only the reteach platform can manage payment methods
but it's still only card enabled in my test Mode setted stripe account (a test account to test the customer side). Only thing i noticed is that now link is also enabled

Just to make sure we're on the same page, the payment_method_types parameter will always be present in a Session object. The values are what will vary based on what payment methods are supported for that particular Session

You can see everything if you have access to the platform account. You can look up any account connected to your platform and read the logs and debug all of this

Paypal is special and requires approval to work with Connect and even then it only works in certain flows, see https://docs.stripe.com/payments/paypal#connect
As for the second question, those are the default settings for your connected accounts but if you have that checkbox then each individual connected account can override your default settings

Paypal does not work for Connect if you use Direct Charges or on_behalf_of. So nothing you can do here it's just not supported today.
as for the second question, my team already answered you earlier with a clear explanation and you said you would try but not now
we need paypal it's promised to customers. they also need that. what can i do/change in order to enable it

You're a bit lost and confusing multiple parts of the UI. You're also typing really fast question but haven't yet digested the information my team already gave you. You also insist on support for Paypal which won't work
So I would recommend that tomorrow you take the time to clearly outline your list of questions and use our support team for support instead of this Discord server. They can look up the accounts for you, look at logs and guide you.
Our support team can also look into Paypal + Connect and see if we have a private beta you could get access to. My team wouldn't know much about this on this server.
Just as a short info, i've spent nearly 4 hours today with customer service of stripe in 1:1. The chat broke 3 times and i had to pick up the conversation with a separate agent over and over again. They did not give me the info @stoic dome gave me in the first response (where to find the setting to let connected accounts override payment settings) they also suggested to me that paypal should be working and also suggested that the problem might be an api bug from stripe. So I'm really sorry but i don't think theyre qualified for these type of questions. You guys are way more helpful, I'm super happy to be here!
