Hello! It depends on how you build your integration and if you handle microdeposit verification yourself or if you want us to handle it. Typically we handle it, and send an email as you described.

Again, depends on how you built your integration. Can you clarify if you're trying to figure out how your current integration works or if you're trying to build something new or change existing behavior?

We are using the default external stripe checkout page where the page is automatically created where we specified what payments we want and it generates the stripe url payment with our internal order id

Okay, in that case we're going to handle the verification for you by emailing the customer.

Just to confirm, the snippet stating “the customer receives an email with a link to confirm these amounts and verify the bank account with stripe after verification is complete, the payment begins processing” is the snippet that confirms that stripe handles the email and verification for the micro deposits?

Yep.

I contacted stripe support and mentioned a different answer than described here?

What do you mean?

Stripe support said micro deposits are a “mechanism” (built onto our own web application) to verify the micro deposits but in our case it will be ideal if stripe can handle the verification process

So you want automatic verification and not micro-deposits?

# floral sleet So you want automatic verification and not micro-deposits?

We want micro deposits to be enabled and have stripe verify with email.
Currently our existing flow is we have automatic verification from ach direct debit, we will like to have the micro deposits option but our team may need to “request” more dev hours to have this done as this product is for a client. I’m asking to just clarify before we move forward with this decision if the micro deposits has to be handled through our custom web application or stripe can do the micro deposits verification via email. We contacted support and they told us it has to be built in, we just wanna clarify before moving forward

ah sorry I missed your reply

If you use Checkout then we (Stripe) handle the micro-deposits verification

No worries.
Okay great thank you, I’ll open a new thread in case anything else pops up.
