It sounds like you're actually talking about 2 different webhook events:
**(1) **webhook event for upcoming renewal. You can set when these get sent to you, by navigating to the Billing settings of the Dashboard: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic
(2) the event for when an Invoice is paid, which indicates the renewal was paid for. You can listen form invoice.paid to get this info: https://docs.stripe.com/api/events/types#event_types-invoice.paid
