now having problems with what seems to be the return URL and session ID

I'm not technical and was advised to reach out to you by the new developer. The error returned is internal 500, payment completes but then it seems the redirect doesn't work.

I would recommend that you get your developer to come chat to us instead. This is a technical forum really, we're likely to resolve the issue working with them directly

All you've sent so far is checkout.session.completed event that wasn't sent to any webhook handlers

Not really no. Looks like an error from your/their code – beyond that not much context at all

evt_1PP0AWAonzIE6boFyB3lu12k fired on acct_1NYlKvAonzIE6boF. That account has one test mode webhook (https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/webhooks/we_1POky4AonzIE6boFvPWyJlP2) but it's not configured to listen for/receive checkout.session.completed events
You need to update it to add that as an event
