However its also null if it was cancelled from the hosted portal
or it will not be an object at all? just "request": null
I was worried you;d say that. There are sadly other cases where it'll be null
so if you use the portal then that solution won't work and there isn't really a way to track it

Can you look at https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscriptions/object#subscription_object-cancellation_details-reason and see if that works maybe for your use-case?
