Adding more details:
I'm running the site locally, but to get HTTPS connection, I'm using an ngrok tunnel, as suggested on Stripe's docs

Hmm, my initial guess would be that Brave doesn't support Google Pay or Apple Pay

ornate merlin
#

I'm using Link, actually

#

but my PaymentResquest does not limit it to Link

#

(ie, when I use safari, it shows apple pay)

These are the logs I see on the console

#

Which obviosuly matches what I coded

I wonder if Brave doesn't support that browser API at all (which is what the Element uses under the hood)?

ornate merlin
#

let me try it on the stripe docs, I know there's an example button in there, right?

#

OH

#

it seems you might be right

#

let me translate that warning

#

but then, Link doesn't care about having a card on the browser wallet, does it?

void coral
#

I imagine this is just a blanket level of support for that API, which the implementation of Link will likely leverage somehow

#

I'll relay your request for Brave support internally

ornate merlin
#

Thank you

#

Oh, I just checked, and the Brave wallet is for crypto ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

#

so likely it's a completely different underlying API

#

Still, I think Link should work here, but it doesn't rely on the PaymentSheet browser UI, like Google Pay does

#

Link works more like PayPal, and PayPal is working perfectly

void coral
#

How are you rendering PayPal?

#

Via Stripe?

ornate merlin
#

Nope. Direct integration with PayPal

#

I didn't even knew that Stripe supported PayPal
But nonetheless, that decision was already in place when I joined the project.

void coral
#

Bu in any case, Brave seemingly doesn't support the Payment Request API which Payment Request Button requires

#

As stated, will share this feedback internally

ornate merlin
#

Alright. Thank you for your help

#

I appreciate it

void coral
#

No problem, glad I could help!

ornate merlin
#

should I also report this to Brave?

void coral
#

Yeah, good idea

ornate merlin
#

Will do! Thank you
