Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to your new thread!

โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.

โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

๐Ÿ”— This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1242102781695889489

Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹ just making sure we're talking about the same thing first. You're referring to creating an External Account for one of your Connected Accounts?

Sorry, that wasn't a question, I was suggesting you use the Card Element instead of the Payment Element

turbid holly
#

ok it seems card element is deprecated

south peak
#

We no longer recommend it for payments, you can still use it for this.

turbid holly
#

ok i understand, no docs on how to implement it on html

#

It's pretty similar, what part are you at currently? You'll need to initialize your elements instance, then you can create and mount the Card Element instance.

final question does the result.token return in real time

The return behavior is described in the API ref, pasted below for your convenience:

Returns
stripe.createToken returns a Promise which resolves with a result object. This object has either:

result.token: a Token was created successfully.
result.error: there was an error. This includes client-side validation errors. Refer to the API reference for all possible errors.
