So if they try to use the same email address with the account link tied to the Standard account above, they're prompted for a password but don't have one. Is there a link in the password prompt page that allows them to select something like "forgot password"?

we aren't really familiar with login issues which is what you're describing sounds like, but maybe i'm misunderstanding?
like in general, should a user with an existing express account be able to create a new standard account linked to the same email address? Based on the login flow it seems like it's not possible or at least not straightforward, but I don't see it documented anywhere

Also, I've determined that the reset password link does get shown in the account link flow if the email is already in the system, but it just directs you to https://dashboard.stripe.com/reset (the generic reset page)

It's not clear to me what happens if a user with a passwordless authentication option uses this
Also I have a follow-up question for later: What happens to the user's authentication if the email address on the connect account gets changed after the fact?
