Hi,

so currently i've my payment code setup and it successfully creates a customer and subscription if i use a non 3DS card but when a 3DS card is used the customer is created but the status of the subscription is set as incomplete.

i was advised to use the Billing setting that manages payments that require confirmation by enabling 3DS and also toggling the Send a Stripe-hosted link for customers to confirm their payments when required On

i was also told to setup a/my webhook for this to also work where i should listen for payment_intent.requires_action.

i've done all of this but since i can't use the billing setting that sends the stripe-hosted link in test mode. i was wondering if there was anything else i'd need to do for the billing setting to work.

Stripe will only send email / hosted link for 3DS when the customer is not present, i.e. in the recurring payment. For the initial sign up of the subscription, your integration should handle 3DS. I'd recommend checking the subscription integration guide here: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions?platform=web&ui=elements

Alternatively, you can use Checkout Session (Stripe hosted payment) to sign up a subscription that will handle 3DS when necessary: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions?platform=web&ui=stripe-hosted
