Ah ok - will try that now - Apple pay integration + Paypal integration supported the test card so wouldn't have suspected that it needed a valid one.

I've jsut been tryign to add a real card, but it's failing, so i'll have to come back to it in a short while.

Stripe test card information can’t be saved to Wallet in iOS. Instead, Stripe recognizes when you’re using your test API keys and returns a successful test card token for you to use. This allows you to make test payments using a live card without it being charged.

this is one of the cards i used (in test mode) - 5555558265554449 and this was added successfuly to my apple pay wallet

but from the docs & what you mentioned it sounds like you're saying i should be able to add my personal live card and that will identify that the wallet is valid and show the payment provider and then not use it. So i'll follow that up 👍🏻
