hello
Hi there!
We're not experts on configuring Radar rules unfortunately but let me see what I can find with regards to rule settings
oh thanks very much ๐
also, is there any type of forum etc for stripe? because im also curious on what rules people put in place to prevent card attacks (gettings about 2000 transaction attempts within an hour. i used to use a different processor (briantree) and i would set a decline after 5 attempts
You could create a rule to block a payment if billing_address does not match shipping_address. That said, you may end up blocking legitimate charges where these never match (e.g. a gift order, if a cardholder hasn't updated their billing address)
Some docs you may have already referenced:
https://stripe.com/docs/radar/rules/reference
https://stripe.com/docs/radar/rules/supported-attributes#address
We don't have a forum at this time to share best practices for this kind of question
I know. I am stuck on a double edges sword. I wish i knew what others do. each time ive had charegbacks over the years, I woudl automatically lose if i sent to a 'shipping address" that was not the "billing address". is this just the cost fo doing business online? do others ship to a 'shipping address; that doesnt match
We do have some general recommendations here for how to address and reduce fraud: https://stripe.com/docs/disputes/prevention
I appreciate the links. I will check them out now. thansk very much ๐
I can tell you that, as a consumer, I've regularly shipped items to an address that was not my billing address. This was usually for gifts around the holidays
me too. its just that i have lost thousands due to charegbacks. honestly i think the transactions were vald, but people sya they didnt order it so they can get refunded. more and more poeple are getting wise to how to fraud online shopping
thank you very much for your help. i appreciate it greatly.
oen last question. where do i send questions for help regarding fraud (after i read the artciles you sent me) if i still have questions?
If you have any other questions as you're responding to disputes or setting up Radar rules, our support team will be the best equipped to handle those. They probably routed here for more hypothetical scenarios but they can better advise on specific questions related to fraud, Radar, etc.
