@frozen needle by default no. But you can ask our support team https://support.stripe.com/contact and they can give you access to a custom feature that allows this. It requires approval for your account/business moel so best option is to reach out to them

Possible to support it for everyone?, heaps of big shots are doing 2 year cycle like
- NordVPN (VPN) - They're vibing with a 2-year VPN plan
- CyberGhost VPN (VPN) - 2-year VPN? Hell yeah.
- Bluehost (Web Hosting) - Rolling out a 2-year web hosting plan
- Namecheap (Domains) - Locked in for a 2-year domain plan
- SiteGround (Web Hosting) - 2-year web hosting? You bet.
- Norton (Security) - They're securing folks for 2 years straight
- HostGator (Hosting) - Hosting the world for 2 years at a time
- OVHCloud (Server Hosting) - 2-year server hosting? Absolutely.
- Private Internet Access (VPN) - A 2-year VPN extravaganza
- Xbox (Gaming) - Gamers enjoying a 2-year plan
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. All these cool companies are doing it, so why can't we? ๐คท
Not sure why you dumped all that?
Like we know it's important and we support it. But 2/3 year billing plans can be super dangerous (and abused) which is why it requires approval which is what I explained
I see, happy it is in place now. I work with a reputable company so I think I can get the approval. Just curious, why wasn't this info about seeking approval mentioned somewhere in Stripe before?
it's on a long list of feature requests I wish we had
fun fact: one engineer on my team is literally working on making this available by default for all Stripe accounts. We hope it'll ship this week. But I don't want to make any promises because software engineering is tough ๐
Hahah, that's amazing! If this gets rolled out for all Stripe accounts, it'll surely boost sales. Two-year subscriptions mean a higher price point, and that's a win-win! ๐
yep yep but also higher dispute risk
