Hi, let me help you with this.
For now we only have 2 modes for each account - Test and Live. I would say, all your non-prod accounts should be separate accounts where you only use Test mode. Maybe the production could live in the same account with pre-prod, but in Live mode.
Thanks @manic fossil for the quick turn around
You will need to login into each of them separately, but then you'll be able to see all of them in a dropdown list on your Dashboard.
It's also better for security, since if one gets attacked, others are safe.
so you mean to say within one account, we can have two mode, test and live and both of them can work simultaneously ?
I will be more specific, so our company name is Monotype Imaging Inc, and we have three websites, Myfonts.com, monotypefonts.com and Monotype.com. Each of them have 4 environments. So the structure should be like we have an Org (Monotype Imaging Inc) with 3 account (1 each for websites) and within each account we have test mode and live mode. Test mode will cater to all NON prod environments while Live mode will cater to all PROD environments, Is this understanding right?
Correct. But Live mode should only be used for production.
Yes absolutely. I am assuming Test mode and live mode can coexist on the same account. Is that correct understanding @manic fossil
You can as well use the same Stripe account for all websites.
So if I use the same Stripe account, is there a way in Stripe dashboard to differentiate what data is for what website?
Ah, then no, it's better to keep things separate.
From API point of view, you can mark the payment objects via metadata to understand what website it comes from, but it's not possible to easily separate it in the Dashboard.
Got it, then it's better to keep them separate
Thanks a lot @manic fossil for such quick help
Happy to help.
