Hey there

hi

knotty orchid
#

When you say "add extra X days" do you mean you want to shift the billing cycle anchor to be later by a few days?

pseudo turtle
#

for example, the subscription will be renew on Nov 1 but I want to give extra 2 days then it will be expires/renew on Nov 3

knotty orchid
#

Okay and do you want to charge for those 2 extra days or no?

pseudo turtle
#

no, for free, no charges

#

Gotcha

#

Then using a trial period is the way to go

pseudo turtle
#

Support suggests me to do that but there is a problem.

But you basically want to use trial_end to dictate when you want the Subscription to renew

for example, yesterday Your paid for a weekly subscription for $7, your subsciption will be renew on Nov 6th right. TOday i add 3 days bysung trial period as you mention. then Your current subscription will show as trial and expires on Nov 3rd and you also have credit $6 (from today -> Nov6). After Nov 3rd, they will charge you $1 more to renew the weekly subsctiption

Yeah you aren't adding the trial correctly

#

You want to set trial_end to be on Nov 9th

#

If you want to add 3 days to the billing cycle anchor and it is currently set for Nov 6

When you were setting trial_end did you also set proration_behavior: none ?

#

I'm guessing your getting some amoutn of credit back because we immediatley generate prorations for unused time when you start the trial. If you set the proration to none, then we won't generate that credit
