yes, I have two reported cases
Can you provide the PaymentIntent ID?
pi_3O5S6FKxEqURugiZ2qoF0Mhj and pi_3O4McWKxEqURugiZ2rk9d3vx
Thanks taking a look at those
Okay so the first one just looks like a generic decline from the issuing bank.
We just relay this decline here -- to get more information on why the decline occurred the customer would have to talk to the issuer.
The second one was never confirmed.
So there was no actual payment attempt
hmm.. in both cases we had the same message: when the clients were in validation step, they received this "fraud" notification. The second pi, when the client received the message he drop because was scary by the message. The first pi is a issue replication from our team so we moved ahead to try the payment
Hmm okay what do you mean by "this fraud notification"?
What is that exactly?
Do you have a screenshot?
It sounds like it is potentially a push notification coming from the issuing bank?
We don't send notifications like that to end-customers so it almost definitely is not coming from us.
yes.. looks like it was from the bank
Ah okay yeah
So unfortunately we have no control over that
Best thing is for the customer to reach out to their bank and discuss with them.
You could also try reaching out to that issuing bank though it may be hard to get much contact with them without being a customer
hmmm.. my colleague said that her card was immediatly blocked and she needed to verify the transaction manually from internet banking app
to make the attempt
and the message was sth like "The merchant is not verified"
Yeah that is still coming from the issuer.
one last thing.. we changed the payment processor recently
so is there a change that the new integration with Stripe impacted somehow on how the bank reads the attempts?
because this didn't happen before when we were using the old partner
we changed from direct integration to enable the iframe in the page
No the integration you use with Stripe has no affect really.
We pass along the same merchant information
Unless you updated that.
what you mean?
the account details? I guess the only thing we changed was the Statement Descriptor, but I suppose shouldn't impact
I mean it could impact in the sense that the SD is passed to the bank
But yeah overall this shouldn't change much
hmmm.. ok.. I'll try reach out to the bank.. thank you very much!! loved this channel 🙂
