We first started using when oauth was the only option.
I dont think apps fit our use case, we dont need to embed any ui in stripe dashboard.

We do both read and write payments to the account, so cant use it as an extension either

And, need to read payments made by other integrations. Platform-controlled accounts has issues with that

Apps is just a replacement for OAuth, same as Stripe Connect. It doesn't need to have a UI.

Ah, didnt know that. Will look into if we can use apps then instead.
Follow up question - can existing oauth accounts be migrated to use apps api?
