no best practice, up to you really, incomplete payments don't cause any real issue
it's also possible to keep updating the "Incomplete" payment intents until they complete the payment.
correct, that is what we recommend
cause that way you track each customer's payment journey through a PaymentIntent and you can track their "attempts" to pay/check out over the same PaymentIntent e.g. 3 declines and then 1 success finally
