So had a question on once we create a payment, if we are not going to use it for some reason is it fine to leave it as is or do we need to cancel it?

What are the implications if we leave it as is. i mean i am referring in terms of security reasons or any malicious activities over that payment intent

Or is it totally fine and stripe will handle it

if we do not cancel it.

Also does the amount which is associated while creating the payment intent will be on hold or it will be on hold only it is confirmed?
