Hi there, have you checked your internet connectivity?
yup. We are calling using AWS EC2 instances.
https://stripe.com/docs/ips#ip-addresses you might want to add stripe IP address to your server's allowlist.
this issue is not persistent though. It is on and off. When we call again for the same thing, it goes through. But sometimes, we face the issue again. It only started to happen today since morning.
https://status.stripe.com/ Based on the status page, all Stripe services are online.
Check Stripe system status and see recent API status updates.
and I really do not think IP addresses is the root cause here because we didn't face this issue before today.
Based on the status page, all Stripe services are online.
yup. It seems really strange.
Have you checked with AWS and ask if they experienced any network problem?
yes, because our services are not down and that in turn means that internet is up for those 😄
That means your inbound network is fine, how about your outbound traffic?
outbound traffic is fine too because we manage to collect logs as well at central logging services.
So far how many IO errors you have experienced?
OK, and in terms of percentage?
Can you check if your server has implemented any firewall that could potentially block some network traffic?
yes, we do have but I do not think that could be the root problem provided as other 99% went through.
What makes you think that? Your firewall could be blocking a subset of IP addresses (not every request will route to the same IP/subnet)
I'd recommend running https://github.com/stripe/stripe-reachability on your server/host
Have you added all the IPs from our docs to your firewall allowlist?
let us check on this.
we opened to all for our outbound connections.
maybe if i give a specific timing, would you be able to check if there was any disruption at that moment?
it started to happen at this epoch timing : 1686008580000
There are no known reports of widespread issues
Are you still seeing connectivity issues?
Hmm I was also experiencing similiar issue and still happening intermittently.

yes, we just had one issue at 04:15 pm sgt.
are you able to help to check even though there is no widespread report? I think some traffics are routed to unresponsive servers.
Our servers are having this issue from 02:20:18 AM SGT and until now, so I also agree on goku's request.
we have reported to our account manager from stripe. Hopefully, this issue is escalated fast.
Are you able to share some IPs where the problematic requests originate from?
@proper yoke Can I share mine to you by direct messages? since it is pretty sensitive i think.
@proper yoke i should share privately too
i couldn't send a private message to @proper yoke . Is there any other way to check?
Maybe we'll need to send him a email or other contact method, if he shares it.
Or maybe making a friend request to ynnoj would bypass the DM block?
If you prefer to share this data on another forum, then I'd recommend writing in to my team via support: https://support.stripe.com/contact
