hmm thats a pitty, does that mean that any systems that use the "hold" mechanism have all their payments listed as "partial refund"?

like any platforms that put a "hold" on a payment and then charge a calculated amount after a certain time.
I don't know how other payment processors implement that, but I'd imagine so yes. What's the concern?
