we have setup a Stripe Connect Platform account and are at the end of our testing before we go live
however when testing MOTO with connected accounts in test mode we were told that our Platform account also needed to be gated for MOTO. This opens up a question about whether any other potential Stripe features which our clients (connecting to our Stripe Platform) would use, also need to be configured on our Platform account?
this is not strictly a technical question but we need an understanding about potential knock-on effects for the technical side of things

This depends on what other gated features your platform account has.
but for now, at least they need to be gated for MOTO as your platform account.
the thing is we have clients who already process with Stripe and we don't know about any additional Stripe features they use - we don't have this information
I guess all we are asking is whether any Stripe feature the connecting accounts use need to be maintained on the Platform account as well?
eg: connecting account need MOTO - the Platform account has to gate for MOTO as well

anything else to add? your answer wasn't particularly exact (depends on what?) and we don't know what that may mean once we go live

Sorry, but this looks like a bit of a general question, you can't have access to all possible use cases/features. Depending on each Account you may require to request access to a new feature.

for MOTO I think it makes sense in order the Platform account to see those transactions in the Dashboard but how about other feaures, eg: Stripe Payment Link?
That's strongly depends on the feature it self. Do you have another specific use case (like MOTO) can't give a generic answer here. Sorry, but connect integration has a lot of variation. For sure, if a feature is enabled in Connect Account and you as platform need to use that feature on behalf of you connected account, then you(as platform) need to have that featured gated.
