Hey! To my knowledge, yes this is the same context as the one in Zapier-

But I wanted to know how literal is the "Update" does it include date changes that happen within stripe automatically as well?

It should, however you'd want to talk to Zapier here as they built this on their end to confirm.

I also tested this to confirm with 100% certainty and confirmed that Stripe does send
customer.subscription.updated in the cases you described above.

I do not know how Zapier works, but you can also use Test Clocks to test this on your end: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/testing/test-clocks as well.

Test clocks make it easier to test your Billing integrations as you're able to forward time etc.
