I believe you can only self-serve default version changes if you intend to upgrade the API version. You would need to contact support and request that they change your default API version for you, otherwise you can set the API version on a per-request basis: https://stripe.com/docs/libraries/set-version

Follow these guidelines to make sure that API versions match throughout your Stripe integration.

Here's the link to support if you want to change the default: https://support.stripe.com/contact

the issue rn is that I can't change the version when using stripe listen

subtle crane
#

Ahhh, okay. Yeah you'll want to work with support to change the default then

#

another question related to versioning: it looks like the online API documentation doesn't match the account version in some cases

#

in particular the payment intent object has the latest_charge parameter instead of the charges parameter that's on the older versions

subtle crane
#

Correct. Documentation will only show what's applicable to recent API versions and (in some cases) depcrecated/legacy APIs at the time of deprecation

rotund grove
#

what's the point of showing the API version at the bottom then

#

is the legacy api documentation available anywhere?

subtle crane
#

Unfortunately not.

rotund grove
#

so then what's the point of showing the version at the bottom

subtle crane
#

What are you referring to? Can you send a screenshot?

I think that's just there to remind you what account you're signed into and what version you're using. It doesn't change what you can/can't see in the docs

rotund grove
#

why does it show the version then

subtle crane
#

Not sure, I didn't build it

rotund grove
#

well it really makes it seem like the documentation should change, so y'all might want to consider changing that

subtle crane
#

For email, yeah. Otherwise, chat is here: https://support.stripe.com/contact

welp they weren't able to do it so they needed to escalate. Is there a particular reason why you don't want people downgrading API versions?
