Hi
Google Pay is not available in India:
https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payment-method-available-countries#google-pay
Otherwise do you have an API request Error?
https://support.stripe.com/questions/finding-the-id-for-an-api-request
No I don’t have error , the customer is not able to pay because his card was rejected and he doesn’t see the google pay and I don’t have access to UPI payment
ok so google pay not available in india thanks for this info
How can I have access to UPI payment ? @worthy karma
Please stop using @ mentions, I'm with you...
How can I have access to UPI payment ?
could you please give more details what you want to achieve ?
Ooops sorry
I want to charge a customer for a yearly subscription for our service.
The issue is the customer is coming from India
And his card has been rejected
And his card has been rejected
They need to use a different card, but if you have an examplt PaymentIntent we can see if there is an issue in your integration otherwise they just need to use another card.
I want to charge a customer for a yearly subscription for our service.
Here is the official integration guide in order to build an integration system:
https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions
I have already hundred of successful payment for subscription from other countries
I mean this is coming from the fact the customer is from India
Just saw this page https://stripe.com/docs/india-recurring-payments but it seems overly complicated to me from the merchant perspective
Do I have other options to just charge a client from India ? Or it's just because he's using a card not supporting internationnal payment (charging in USD in my case)
AFAIK, nope.
Yes it could be fur sure.
What do you mean by an example of PaymentIntent ? A payment link ? or should I send you the event log ?
That's kind of weird, dont you think so ? ... I mean India is the biggest country of the world as of today. Still trying to understand why it's still a corner case in Stripe.
What should I do ? just ask the customer to use another card ?
Yes and try to use an international card.
How can I subscribe to accept UPI payment ?
Because if GooglePay, ApplePay, WeChat, and Alipay are not available in India, I mean it could be helpful for merchants to accept UPI payment as alternative platform, wdyt ?
Probably you should reach out to Stripe Support about this at https://support.stripe.com/contact.... as this isn't a technical integration question.
Np! you're welcome!
