the ability to do it directly is only available if you are using your own SUN(creditor ID) which is a paid feature

Ah okay I did see that. So we can either enable that and we can do directly or use checkout

in general it's that the requirements for displaying the BACS mandate in the correct legal way are very strict, so we mainly only allow to use our hosted surfaces(which do it correctly) by default. But if you write in to support there are processes to let you use your own custom payment pages if you have a use case and can comply with the requirements
