What's the question
Hi ๐
I'm trying to understand, for a connect account, to who belong data? (subscriptions, customers, payments...)
Does the data belong to the connect user, or to the main plateform account?
That would depend on what kind of Connect accounts you're using
Standard connect account
Express connect account my bad
In fact, I'm trying to understand wether it's possible to get a connect account to migrate from one platform to mine.
I'll need to get his customer default payment
In the case of Express, the majority of activity/objects will exist on the platform itself. But its a bit more granular than that
As an Express account? That's not possible
To be transparent, do you know Substack plateform? They allow their customers to make newsletters and use Stripe to handle paying subscriptions. I'm building an equivalent website, and I user Stripe as well.
I'm trying to figure out if I can help my new users migrate from Substack to my website, keeping their customers
I was thinking that subscriptions belongs to the connected account and that it should be possible, am I wrong?
I know of Substack, yes. I don't know anything about if/how they integrate with Stripe
Well you can't disconnect an Express account from one platform, and re-connect to another. That's the first blocker
Ok. But If I tell my new users to create a new Stripe account connect to my platform. Is there a tool to export their users and their subscriptions and payment method, so that I can import all that in their new stripe account linked to my platform?
No, we don't have any official tools like that
Ok, thank you a lot for your time ๐
