Can you share the plink_xxx ID?

Taking a look! Can you confirm the behaviour you're experiencing?
I use the payment link to check out and i get redirected to stripe.com instead of https://app-release.aanbouwconfigurator.com/ which i've supplied
Could this have anything to do with the fact that https://app-release.aanbouwconfigurator.com/ is not publicly reachable? As its a staging enviroment only accesible from our local ip
At what point are you redirected? After payment?
Yes after successful payment intent setup, should i make a video or send the payment link?
Yes, I imagine that is the issue
Okay, i'll try changing it to our production instance instead and see if then it'll redirect
I'll get back to you
No dice
I've changed to https://app.aanbouwconfigurator.com/ but it still redirects to https://stripe.com/en-gb-nl
And that one is publicly reachable
This PL: plink_1LxWPZJeCMycWCBHpegV8r38 ?
Yes
Let me test it
Worked for me, sent me to https://app.aanbouwconfigurator.com/#/
Administration for home-extension-configurator
Okay let me retry with a non cached browser maybe that did the trick but i still have cache
Completely switched browsers and did it in an incognito tab, and i still get the same thing.
Got my coworker to try it, he also gets redirected to stripe.com
Tried it on my phone with a VPN tunnel to another country and it also still gets redirected to stripe.com
Checking with a colleague
that seems hard just reading it, hope you find an solution asap bro
We're unable to reproduce the issue you're seeing here – a colleague was also redirected to the URL specified on the Payment Link
Can you do some logging in the browser console/network and see if you can determine whether this is a browser redirect?
Found it:
Can you paste that cs_xxx ID

Here a curl for you https://pastebin.com/R2nS7vXi
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
Yeah, something is going on here. Let me raise this internally
Of course!
How do we move forward on this? Because this quite a impediment on our release.
Should i keep this chat open and expect this to be solved later today. Or is it maybe better to continue via email.
Since this is a bug I don't suppose you would have a ETA for a fix.
Let's keep this chat open for now. I've raise this internally with the team and will coordinate any updates here
okay thank you again, if you are not able to reach me here please email me on floris@ignaz.nl and i'll open up discord. As i don't usually have it open for work
@feral field Hey, checking in here. You around?
Yep
We've been able to reproduce this consistently, and it seems the critical path is the iDEAL + free trial pairing
Okay
Can you try a non-iDEAL payment via the same PL and confirm?
sure 1 sec
I used card earlier which I guess is why it worked
42 repeeated is a usable cc number right
Correct
Yea it works that way
Ok, great. Whilst we're going to resolve the issue, we're currently unable to deploy the fix until early December. If this is time critical, our recommendation is to disable iDEAL for the time being (that is the only impacted PM)
Indeed with the ideal i just get forwarded to stripe
Okay, i'll have to discuss with my product manager and see what we'll want to do. We expect most of our customers to use ideal (its the defacto standard here in the netherlands) not many companies/people have credit cards.
We'll probably opt to just redirect to the stripe home page instead of refusing sign ups using ideal.
Could i be kept in the loop on this and be notified when this is fixed?
We'll probably opt to just redirect to the stripe home page instead of refusing sign ups using ideal.
You could instead opt out of a redirect entirely and host a custom message on the payment page: https://stripe.com/docs/api/payment_links/payment_links/create#create_payment_link-after_completion-hosted_confirmation
Complete reference documentation for the Stripe API. Includes code snippets and examples for our Python, Java, PHP, Node.js, Go, Ruby, and .NET libraries.
Thats sounds like good option, thank you
Please try that and let me know
Is the email you shared earlier best to reach you on?
Yes
I'll personally keep you updated when there's progress
Of course, np. Let me know if I can help with anything else
