Hi, in these cases, you can create the charge, and transfer the funds later once the driver has been identified, https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers.
But isn't the recommendation to work with the intent api and no longer with the charges api ?
Sorry, when I say charge it is not the Charges API, if you look at the linked document, id it using the Payment Intents API: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/charges-transfers
Hey but stripe only accepts separate charges and remittances in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States.
What specific country are you looking for? You'd also want to read this article, https://stripe.com/docs/connect/account-capabilities#transfers-cross-border.
Mexico 🇲🇽
Is the Platform account US or Mexico?
It is from México
Or where can I check it? We are in Mexico
Taking a look
Sorry ??
I'm taking a look, I need to test this on my end.
Ok, thanks for taking the time to help me, I really appreciate it.
I was able to confirm that Separate Charges and Transfers work with a Mexican Platform account with a Mexican Connected account.
So the transfer service is also available in Mexico?
Yes
From a Platform Mexico account to a Connected Mexico account, yes. You can test all of this via your Test account
Ok, I understand I will try it
I wanted to ask you one last question, how do you handle commissions with transfers, i.e. every time the client requests a trip, I as a platform charge 30% commission for each trip.
Well, you charge for $50 for instance but only transfer $45 to the connected account, that is the intent of Separate Charges and Transfers.
Ok, I understand, thank you very much for all the help, have a nice evening.
